Challenge | Conceptualize and create a literary journal for a collection of poems about parking lots.

Solution | In a parking lot, a vehicle tends to turn quickly in search of a spot or a way out. I took the motion of turning a steering wheel and incorporated it into the reader’s experience. Each spread in the journal is a piece of the full rotation and then counter rotation of a steering wheel. The reader turns the book in order to read the poems and then, without thinking, turns the book in the opposite direction.
